Text Box: Tillington Church Wall Restoration Appeal
Welcome to the village of Tillington

Home Page

Text Box: 'Wall Street Collapse' means a world crisis. 'Street Wall Collapse doesn't have the same global impact, but to the Parish of Tillington it is just as important. We are faced with the prospect of the church wall and embankment opposite the Horse Guards Inn falling down. After considerable discussion with many potential stakeholders it seems that All Hallows Church and it's custodians are responsible for the urgent repairs.
To limit the risk of an accident from falling rock or stone, these repairs have now become an enforceable requirement and must be completed before the winter of 2008/2009 sets in.

Text Box: So we need your help. Tillington is one of the most attractive villages in the region and we did win the 2008 West Sussex small village of the year competition for our vitality and strength of community spirit. Our church wall is part of Tillington's heritage and it must be saved.

We are planning a series of fund-raising activities throughout the summer of 2008, including a Sponsored Walk,  Car Boot Sale, Lamb Roast, Open Gardens and Cream Teas, to name but a few!  If you live within easy reach of Tillington please help us by supporting these events when you see them advertised.  If you have connections with Tillington but now live away, perhaps you would like to make a small contribution to our Appeal.  If so, in the first instance please contact the Postmaster by clicking the 'Contact Us' button.

With your help we can ensure that our church wall is made safe and that it will remain the treasured gateway to the Parish of Tillington for many years to come.  Thank you for your support.
